• finally,  rapid7 company bought Metasploit in 2008

• it was returned in ruby programming 

        

IMPORTANT TERMS IN METASPLOIT 

VULNERABILITY : 

Weakness or flaw of the system which helps the attacker to compromise

the system or take over your privilege without your permission 

EXPLOIT:

Pice of code or junk of data or code to exploit the vulnerability or code used to 

compromise the sytem 

PAYLOAD: 

Payload is nothing but it is malware or trojan which is hide inside the application 

or any backend application to compromise the system or take over 

the privilege 

HOW TO ATTACK USING METASPLOIT REAL-LIFE 

SCENARIO?

1. We find the open port service and version number of any system in your 

target and it should be in-network or anything 

2. Next we go to find the exploit in the Metasploit database or exploit DB 

3. Then we use the exploit to compromise the system 

4. If your programmer you can create your own exploit and import Metasploit
